Launch Notes

On Thursday, September 3, 2026, Tiny Tulip Games posted Next Reign: Kingdom available NOW! on Steam. The studio called the ship a fourteen-month first game and opened the store at 10:00 AM PDT / 7:00 PM CEST. This page is that day-one recap: what you buy, what the 1.0 pitch actually claims, and which wiki guides to open once the installer finishes. It is not a rolling patch log. When a numbered 1.0.x lands, it gets a new file on the updates hub.

Price, bundle, and what you are not buying

The list price is $4.99. An introductory 20% discount takes it to $3.99 until September 10, 2026. After that date the tag returns to $4.99 unless Steam runs a later sale. The app ID is 4536900. Buy from the Steam store page.

Steam also lists a two-item bundle named Crown & Crop: Idle Collection that pairs Next Reign: Kingdom with Micro Macro Farm. The bundle is a small extra discount, not a deluxe edition of this campaign and not extra prestige content. Buy it only if you actually want both games. Nothing in 1.0 requires Micro Macro Farm, and this wiki will not pretend the bundle is part of Tiny Tulip’s design.

There are no redeem codes, battle passes, or live-service gift drops. The purchase is the campaign. If a site is selling “Next Reign codes,” it is not talking about this Steam incremental.

Platforms, languages, and player count

1.0 ships on Windows and Linux. There is no Mac build. The game is single-player. Steam Deck compatibility was still listed as unknown on launch day, so do not treat Deck as a promised target.

Steam’s language list includes English, French, Italian, German, Portuguese-Brazil, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Spanish-Latin America, and Turkish. This wiki publishes English, French, German, and Spanish pages. We do not cover every Steam language, and we do not claim a Chinese or Russian wiki edition.

If you need the studio after purchase, use Steam discussions or tinytulipgamesstudio@gmail.com. We do not list a Discord invite because we do not have a confirmed official one.

The 1.0 pitch, in the store’s own numbers

Tiny Tulip’s store copy is the cleanest version label for launch week:

  • Around twenty hours of progression
  • 100+ prestige upgrades that survive handing the crown
  • Five distinct combat unit types, with tiers and synergies
  • Over a dozen interconnected systems
  • Dozens of resources and production chains that evolve
  • Hundreds of upgrades inside a single reign

That is an incremental strategy campaign, not an idle overlay you ignore. You grow a field into a walled realm, hire workers until the mob is doing the clicking, fight in formation, and hand the crown to the next generation. Prestige resets the reign and keeps the milestone tree. The name is the loop: the next reign is supposed to be faster because you spent points, not because a daily login calendar opened.

If you want the play order instead of the store blurb, leave this recap. The guides hub is the index. Getting started covers the first field, houses, and workers. The walkthrough is the longer reign order. Prestige is the page to read before you click the crown.

How launch day relates to the 2026 demo

The free demo (Steam app 4580490) arrived on April 11, 2026. On July 22 Tiny Tulip named the September 3 time and said demo progress could transfer. On August 21, demo v0.3 rebuilt the HUD: the bottom bookmark box became an open book, the left resource panel gained a hover filter for depleting or low stock, and formations started persisting across prestiges. Those notes, and the first-hour plan after import, live on demo to full.

Do not treat the demo as the whole game. Twenty hours, a hundred-plus prestige nodes, and five unit types are the 1.0 promise. Demo hours were a slice used to test the loop and the UI. If your save imported, you still have the rest of that pitch in front of you.

Achievements on day one

Steam lists 22 achievements. Named ones already visible in the 1.0 set include Fresh Soil, Home Sweet Home, Arbitrage Proof, Diplomatic Relations, From Farmer to Peasant, So Slimy!, Cheers!, They Make Noises?!, Drink It All Up, Who’s Rich now?, And a Bottle of Rum, and Enlighten Your Mind. The remaining titles sit in the Steam overlay. This recap will not invent names we have not seen.

Achievements are a side list, not a build guide. Arbitrage and trade-themed names hint at the market; slime and rum names hint at later production and combat toys. Chase them after the economy is automatic, not instead of unlocking iron and a front line.

Launch-week Linux note

One Ubuntu 24.04 report with an RX 580 described a crash while scrolling some menus, after which the game reloaded. That is a launch-week machine report. It is not a statement that Linux as a whole is unstable, and it is not a Tiny Tulip patch note. If you see the same reload, log distro, GPU, and the menu you were in on Steam discussions so the studio can try to reproduce it.

What to open after this recap

Stay on the updates hub only if you are checking whether a later patch exists. For the campaign itself:

  1. Getting started if this is your first field.
  2. Walkthrough once wheat, wood, and stone need a sequence instead of panic clicks.
  3. Prestige before you hand the crown.
  4. Demo to full if the file you are loading was born in the April–August demo.

This file stays the September 3 recap. It will not be rewritten into a fake latest-patch article to look busy. New Steam news gets a new slug under updates.
