Five steps that stop a new settlement from stalling.

    Learn the camera and first field

    Right-click drag to pan, or use A/D with Shift to move faster. Hold left-click on the wheat field to gather by hand, then open the controls guide so the rest of the HUD makes sense.

  2. 2

    Hire farmers before you build pretty walls

    Population and wheat are the first bottleneck. Follow the getting started order: houses, farmers, lumberjacks, then stone, before you chase the market.

  3. 3

    Unlock the iron chain, then tools

    Coal plus iron ore becomes bars, and bars become tools. The production chain planner shows which building to drop when a stockpile turns red.

  4. 4

    Start combat once peasants and a front line exist

    Do not skip the army. Glory and monster remains feed later prestige. Read combat and the unit tier list before the Blade Queen quest.

  5. 5

    Hand the crown with a plan

    Prestige resets the reign but keeps milestones. Use the prestige guide and the prestige planner so the first reset actually speeds up the next one.
